Health
All animals boarding with us must be in good health if we feel your pet is showing signs of illness or injury we may refuse to accept them. This is for the benefit of your pet and that of other animals boarding with us. Rabbits must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and VHD and proof shown. If your rabbit has never received a vaccination before then we ask they have it at least 3 weeks prior to boarding with us. There is currently no vaccination requirement for other small animals.
We do also ask you advise if your rabbit has suffered from any of the following illnesses, E.Cuniculi, Snuffles or GI stasis.
We will take the utmost care of your pet whilst in our care and follow your pet’s daily routines carefully, helping to minimize any stress to your pet whilst with us. Unfortunately, small animals can sometimes pass away without any warning and we cannot accept any liability in the unlikely event that this happens during their stay at Bristol Bunny Boarding. All pets are left entirely at the owner’s risk.
Vets
When a booking is made, we will request your vets details in case of an emergency. If your pet becomes ill during their stay with us, we will inform you immediately and consult a vet. If your pet then requires medical attention from the vet we will transport them there for treatment. We charge £10 per hour for this service. Any costs for treatment by the vet must be met by you, the owner. Your pet will be treated under your name and address, either at our vets or yours depending on the distance to your vet’s surgery. In the extremely unlikely event that your pet passes away whilst in our care, we will contact you immediately and follow your wishes.
